The China Import and Export Fair is one of The most important trade fairs in The world. Founded in the spring of 1957, it is held in guangzhou every spring and autumn. It is jointly sponsored by the ministry of commerce and the people's government of guangdong province, and undertaken by China foreign trade center. It is a comprehensive international trade event with the longest history, the highest level, the largest scale, the most complete variety of commodities, the largest number of buyers, the widest distribution in different countries and regions, and the best transaction effect in China. It is praised as "the first exhibition in China". Since the 101st session in April 2007, the Canton fair has changed its name from China export commodities fair to China import and export commodities fair.
